Training and Career Development at IHDCYH
Career Pathway
A key strategy for delivering on IHDCYH's Capacity Building priority is taking a holistic approach to supporting diverse career pathways in the fields of human development, child and youth health research. IHDCYH integrates training, mentorship, and career development into its funding initiatives and collaborates with CIHR and other Institutes to support researchers and trainees at all career stages. Since establishing the IHDCYH Youth Advisory Council (YAC) in 2020—and its alumni network in 2022—IHDCYH has expanded opportunities for engagement, mentorship and leadership development to diverse youth as young as 12 years old.
